After taking in the history of the hollowed grounds at The Alamo, we then drove to San Marcos to spend the night in Day's Inn Hotel. From Houston, the trip to San Antonio was almost 4 hours and is not meant for a day-trip if you ask me.
The hotel we stayed at is close to the San Marcos River...and well, just a 5-minute drive from the famous Prime Outlet Mall and the Tanger Factory Outlet. Actually this was the "main destination", and The Alamo was just a side-trip :) Ulayhon na lang ya ang Alamo kuno ya mo(Just kidding Zette)!
Outlet shopping seems to be a constant item in every Pinoy traveler's itinerary while in the US...And mind you, it is not just "retail-therapy", but for a very good cause: PAMPASALUBONG! And this time, PANGREGALO also!!! :)
So after checking-in at the hotel around 6pm, left the things we needed to leave behind (wink!), all were ready to shop-till-they-drop. Grabe, kit-anay na lang kuno sa parking lot mag 9pm...Manira gid ya!
Biggest "Outlet" I've been to so far(comparing to the ones I've visited:Gilroy,Vegas,etc)
Actually, ginpabantayan lang na sa akon sang mga shopaholics...It's not all mine!* As usual, "in trance" ang iban, so the usual picture-crazy peeps are scarce this time around :)

Usually in every trip, I always check the weather conditions in the city of destination. But I thought, this was Texas! In fact, at San Antonio, the weather was warm for winter. So we thought the next day would be as sunny in San Marcosl. WRONG. There was a bitingly freezing windchill factor coming from the ghastly cold air and strong winds that blew that day. But as they say, NO RAIN NOR HIGH WATER, NO SLEET NOR SNOW...can keep the pinoy shopper away :)
